-What separates our organization from "typical" distributor supply houses is our unique expertise in system analysis and high efficiency design. We generate photometric designs in-house on powerful lighting software which gives us the ability to run multiple scenarios, with multiple manufacturers, to meet the energy and light level needs of customers. -US Lamp was recently recognized by Focus on Energy for its efforts during 2009 by helping Wisconsin businesses' bottom lines and environmental impacts through their energy solutions. A copy of that letter can be viewed here.
-In the recent months there has been a lot of misconceptions about compact fluorescent (CFL) light bulbs and their danger to the environment because they contain mercury. In fact, all fluorescent tubes contain mercury as well as HID light sources. The EPA has put together a CFL Fact Sheet that clears some of these misconceptions and what to do if a CFL or fluorescent tube were to break in your home.
