Visible spectrum LED technology was first developed in the 1960s, but at that time had very limited practical uses. During the last 10 years or so, LED research and technology has greatly improved and now offers energy saving alternatives to incandescent, neon, and some fluorescent light sources. While this technology continues to improve, US Lamp continues to research application options and does have access to a number of LED products. We've listed some of those below and will continue to update as new technologies are launched.

Incandescent replacements: LEDs are great replacements for equipment indicator lights. They offer significantly longer life, which improves maintenance headaches for those hard-to-reach applications, and consume significantly less energy. As LEDs continue to improve on their light output, a number of manufacturers have launched flood lighting products both in line voltage and low voltage. US Lamp has access to hundreds of LED alternatives for all sorts of miniatures and small wattage incandescents.
Signage and accent lighting: LEDs can offer great maintenance and energy savings over neon signage and fluorescent or incandescent accent lighting. LED refrigerated cooler lighting: One of the most recent LED product advancements has been GE Lumination's LED cooler lighting. This product is designed to replace 60" and 72" fluorescent cooler lighting systems. The LED system offers excellent maintenance savings with its 50,000 hour rated life, excellent energy savings with a reduction in system wattage, controllability and reduced heat load on compressors, and excellent product visibility with high color rendering.
